Google Calendar has a great update for hybrid workers

Google Calendar Just Got Smarter: Track Multiple Work Locations with Ease

Guess what Google has cooked up next for your daily workflow? Google Calendar now lets you tag multiple work locations in a single day—a game-changer for anyone navigating hybrid or remote work schedules.

Turbocharged Location Sharing for the Hybrid Workforce

Remember when Google first introduced location sharing in 2021? They’ve now taken it up a notch. Whether you’re splitting your day between the office and your home workspace or hopping between client sites, this new feature keeps your colleagues in the loop about exactly where you’ll be—and when.

Picture this: morning meetings at HQ, afternoon client visits, all neatly tracked on your calendar so your team always knows where to find you.

Who Gets Access?

This feature is exclusively available to Google Workspace users on these plans:

  • Business Standard and Plus
  • Enterprise Standard and Plus
  • Education Fundamentals, Standard, and Plus
  • Teaching and Learning Upgrade
  • Nonprofits

(If you’re using a personal Google account, this one’s not available for now.)

Control Your Privacy

The location tracking feature is enabled by default, but you can easily toggle it off anytime if you prefer to keep your whereabouts private and no hard feelings!
